Ich war schon viele Male im Garten am Schloss Charlottenburg und habe dort gezeichnet, Ausstellungen geschaut oder bin einfach nur spazieren gegangen.
Es war am Sonntag aber das erste Mal, dass ich diese schöne winterliche Atmosphäre im Barock Garten des Schlosses erlebt habe. Es war klirrend kalt, so dass ich kaum den Fotoapparat halten konnte geschweige denn zeichnen.
Der Schlossgarten ist ca. 55 Hektar groß und wurde als erster deutscher Garten im französischen Stil von Siméon Godeau angelegt.
Im Belvedere im Schlossgarten befindet sich heute die KPM-Porzellansammlung des Landes Berlin, die zu den herausragenden Fachsammlungen der Stadt gehört. Ich wußte das nicht, denn Porzellan gehört nicht zu meinen Interessengebieten.

I have stayed many times in the garden at the Schloss Charlottenburg and have been drawn or looked at exhibitions or I am simply walked the ways between the plants.
This Sunday it was the first time that I experienced this beautiful winter atmosphere in the baroque garden of the castle. It was freezing cold, so I could hardly keep the camera and never mind drawing there.
The castle garden is approximately 55 hectares and was created from Siméon Godeau as the first German garden in french style.
At the Belvedere in the castle garden is now the KPM porcelain collection of Berlin, one of the most outstanding collections of the city trade. I didn’t know that, because porcelain is not one of my first interests.
